The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has allocated $700 million a year to specialist housing, creating a new market and need for accessible and affordable homes.

Over the past 10 years, At Macquarie Knight, we have recognised a tremendous need exists for specialist disability housing. With the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), the Federal Government has also recognised this need and reformed the disability sector. Part of this reform is Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) – which Macquarie Knight Constructions have embraced and incorporated into our core business products.

At Macquarie Knight Constructions, we have undertaken a great deal of research and development into the government’s requirements in this area, and we have developed several unique and customised designs that meet and exceed these requirements.

Additionally, we have developed a fast-tracked model to source appropriate land, gain approval from local government authorities, construct economically and deliver an industry-leading home for participants.
